DELIVERY
All orders are processed within 1 to 4 working days.
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on the number of items in your basket and the destination country, as shipping costs vary by weight and location.
UK Orders:
We use Royal Mail Track 48 service. This is a fully trackable service (delivery usually within 2 working days of dispatch), but it does not require a signature. A tracking number will be emailed to you once your order has been fulfilled.
International Orders (including EU):
We use Royal Mail International Tracked. Delivery usually takes between 4–7 working days, depending on destination. You will receive full online tracking details once your parcel is dispatched.
Please note:
Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees that may apply in your country.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs processing or international postal services.
RETURNS POLICY
We want you to love your order but if for any reason you you're not happy, please read below to understand your return eligibility.
Non-Returnable Items
We do not offer refunds or returns on the following:
Sale items
Made-to-order or custom garments
Garments that have been worn, washed, or altered after delivery
With made to order items, any communication regarding sizing, fit, or fabrics must occur before the piece is made. Once a custom or made-to-order item has been produced, the sale is final — unless there is a clear fault in construction or materials (see below).
Returnable Items (Ready-to-Ship Only)
For all ready-to-ship items, the return process is as follows:
Contact us at hello@mahikakala.co.uk or via our contact form within 14 days of receiving your item to request a return or cancellation.
We will provide you with the return address and further instructions.
Return the item within 7 days of receiving return instructions. Include your name and order number in the parcel — we cannot process your return without this.
All items must be returned in original, unworn, unwashed, and saleable condition, with tags and packaging where applicable.
We reserve the right to refuse returns that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, damage, or misuse.
Return Shipping
Customs Duties on Returns/Exchanges: Customers are responsible for any customs duties or taxes incurred on returned or exchanged items. We do not refund original import duties, and any replacement shipments may incur additional customs charges which are the customer’s responsibility. Customs fees we incur will be deducted from the refund.
We strongly recommend using a trackable postal service — we cannot refund lost parcels.
🔧 Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please email us within 3 days of delivery with clear photos of the issue. If verified, we’ll offer either a free repair, replacement (if available), or a full refund.
Please note: Garments damaged due to wear, improper washing, or mishandling do not qualify as faulty. We are happy to repair minor stitching issues, but washed or worn garments cannot be refunded or exchanged.
EXCHANGE POLICY
We accept exchanges on ready-to-ship items only. Custom and made-to-order pieces are not eligible.
To arrange an exchange:
Contact us within 30 days of receiving your item at hello@mahikakala.co.uk.
We’ll send you an exchange form to complete and include in your parcel.
Send the item back in original condition (unworn, unwashed, undamaged) within 7 days of receiving the form.
Customers are responsible for exchange postage costs. Again, we recommend using a trackable service, as we cannot process exchanges on items that do not arrive.

To minimise custom duties incurred, make sure you select ‘Returned goods’ on custom forms.
